Cleaners & Cleaning ("we", "us", "our") is registered in the Republic of Ireland at Lough View, Carn, Callow, Foxford, Mayo. F26 AP21 Ireland. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and complying with the EU GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 (Ireland), the UK GDPR, and the Data Protection Act 2018 (UK).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal data when you use the Cleaners & Cleaning Platform.

• Account data: your name, email address, phone number, and account type when you register.
• Job and profile data: details you provide when posting a job or creating a cleaner or business profile, including location, postcode, business name, services offered, and pricing information.
• Verification documents: when you request verification, we may collect identity documents (e.g., photo ID) and insurance certificates to confirm your identity and qualifications. These are uploaded securely and accessible only to you and our admin team.
• Communication data: messages and responses exchanged between users through the Platform.
• Payment data: when you pay a Listing Fee, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details — Stripe handles all payment information securely. We retain invoice records (amount, fee type, status) for accounting purposes.
• Usage and analytics data: information about how you interact with the Platform, including pages visited, device type, and browsing data. When you consent to cookies, we log page views to understand how the Platform is used and to improve it.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract: to provide the Platform services you requested, such as posting jobs, creating profiles, and processing listing fees.
• Consent: for analytics tracking and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests: to operate and improve the Platform, prevent fraud, and ensure security.
• Legal obligation: to comply with tax, accounting, and other legal requirements.

4. How We Use Your Data

• To operate, maintain, and improve the Platform and our services.
• To match Customers with cleaners and facilitate communications between them.
• To process Listing Fees and issue invoices.
• To verify the identity and qualifications of cleaners and businesses.
• To send notifications, including review requests and listing expiry reminders.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect the safety and security of the Platform.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following categories of cookies and tracking technologies:

• Essential cookies: required for the Platform to function (e.g., maintaining your login session). These do not require consent.
• Analytics cookies: used to track page views and understand how visitors use the Platform. These are only activated after you give consent via our cookie banner.

When you first visit the Platform, you will see a cookie banner asking for your consent to non-essential cookies. You can choose to accept or reject these cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser and remembered on future visits.

Withdrawing consent: You can withdraw your cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which will re-display the cookie banner and allow you to make a new choice.

6. Sharing Your Data

We share Contact Details between a Customer and a cleaner only when a cleaner has Express Interest in a Job and paid the applicable Listing Fee. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with:

• Stripe: our payment processor, to handle Listing Fee payments. Stripe processes your card information under its own privacy policy and GDPR-compliant data processing agreement.
• Service providers: who help us operate the Platform (e.g., hosting, email delivery).
• Authorities: where required by law or to protect the safety and security of the Platform.

7. Data Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted data transmission, secure document storage for verification documents, and restricted access controls. Sensitive documents (e.g., ID documents, insurance certificates) are stored securely and accessible only to you and authorised administrators. Access to analytics data is restricted to admin users only.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for longer to comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax and accounting records, which may be retained for up to 7 years). Verification documents are deleted when your account is deleted or when verification is no longer required.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access: to see what data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure: to request deletion of your personal data.

Some data may be retained for longer where required by law (e.g., financial records).
